Reading the very interesting summary and analysis (from a Google source) of THE COUNTRY OF THE BLIND by H.G. Wells, it is clear to Me that "the country of the blind" actually refers to HELL inside Earth and that Nunez is in fact God. I find the story quite realistic but also very funny (to Me). However, I disagree completely with the idea that God "fell in love" with the girl Medina-sarote - wishful thinking on her part. It was OBVIOUS to God that she was a top Na. pr. honeytrap who pretended to be in (one-way) love with Him but whose real aim was to trap Him with sex and fake love and stop Him from achieving IMMORTALITY for the entire human race but she failed badly. Other honey traps also tried to trap Him but failed miserably. His treacherous evil Na. ass. sp. even tried to ass. Him but also failed. 

One-eyed King - Kana - cannot torture the population without the support of evil NAZI male and female criminals (who may even force him to be cruel, who knows).
